PTI Senator says govt to introduce stricter punishments for youngster sexual abuser

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed Khan on Tuesday stated that the federal government will introduce stricter punishments to stop youngster sexual abuse within the nation.

Speaking to the media outdoors the Parliament, the PTI member stated that the Zainab Alert, Recovery and Response Bill, 2019 — handed by the National Assembly in March this 12 months — units out a mechanism for early investigation of such incidents.

“We will improve legislation to tighten punishments and bring cases to their logical conclusion,” Javed stated, noting that there’s a steady rise in such instances.

He stated consensus is required for public hangings of rapists, including: “Amendments to the laws are needed to curb abuse.”

“Those who support such monsters must also be given exemplary punishment,” the senator stated.

“We have to ensure justice for the women and children that have been abused,” he underscored.

Javed stated the federal government is getting ready amendments and “the whole nation will support us”.

The senator additional underlined that the federal government needs to ship out a message to those “savage beasts” to “stop, otherwise we will make an example out of them”.

Senator Zeeshan Khanzada, who was accompanying Javed, additionally stated the federal government was engaged on taking strict motion in opposition to these accused of rape.

“Many cases of sexual abuse go unreported but we have to ensure the children and women who are subjected to rape are provided justice,” Khanzada stated.

‘Have to transcend politics’

Separately, Mohammed Amin Ansari, the daddy of Zainab, a seven-year-old Pakistani woman who was raped and killed in 2018 and whose physique was recovered from a rubbish dump in Lahore, underscored how human rights in Pakistan “continue to be violated”.

“Sexual abusers are not humans but monsters,” Ansari stated, calling for web sites that host pornographic movies to be banned and the event of a complete technique that is freed from politics.
