NDMA receives reduction objects from WHO following heavy rains

ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Wednesday acquired  reduction objects together with, health emergency kits, surgical masks, and protecting gear for health care employees from the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Last week’s downpour left roads throughout Karachi flooded and triggered energy outages throughout the metropolis. The cities of decrease Sindh, and different provinces have been affected as properly.

According to the NDMA’s assertion, the reduction objects included three rescue boats “for flashfloods of Sindh”.

Chairman NDMA Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal lauded the ” effective role” of NDMA in coping with the emergency.

On the event, the top of WHO in Pakistan, Dr Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala, praised the function of Pakistan and NDMA in controlling the coronavirus.

Due to efficient coordination and well timed selections, Pakistan has “overcome COVID-19”, Gunarathna stated.
