Due to the sudden onset of COVID-19, many Hollywood productions, together with Lucifer have been shut down in a state of panic.
While half one of many season is already launched on Netflix, the corporate was unable to wrap up shoots for half 2 and on account of this, they have been unable to disclose a launch date for the latter half of the season.
News of this traveled quick and plenty of loyal followers started an exasperated outcry over the whole cliff hanger that half one left them upon.
According to Deadline, a supply heard that “the show had four days from Season 5 left to shoot when production was suspended in March” resulting from COVID-19.
While it would take time to get the ultimate edit in place, as soon as capturing resumes, many sources speculate that followers can count on half 2 to be launch someday within the begin of 2021.
Co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich already spoke in regards to the premature halt on productions to Entertainment Weekly. They claimed, “What we realized is that the final little bit of that [series] finale episode was truly a variety of nice tales sped up simply to present us a satisfying ending for all our characters.”
“We actually lobbed off Act 6 and went, ‘Let’s take what occurs in Act 6 in a scene and dive into it, and actually discover how are characters find yourself the place they ended up.’ So, that ended up being our nugget for Season 6.”
