Woody Allen has damaged his silence on the brand new documentary that was launched on Sunday relating to the sexual abuse allegations positioned towards him.
The director and his spouse Quickly-Yi Previn dubbed the HBO documentary collection Allen v. Farrow as a “hatchet job riddled with falsehoods.”
The couple issued a press release to The Hollywood Reporter, saying: “These documentarians had little interest in the reality. As an alternative, they spent years surreptitiously collaborating with the Farrows and their enablers to place collectively a hatchet job riddled with falsehoods.”
“Woody and Quickly-Yi had been approached lower than two months in the past and given solely a matter of days ‘to reply’. After all, they declined to take action,” the assertion learn.
“As has been recognized for many years, these allegations are categorically false. A number of companies investigated them on the time and located that, no matter Dylan Farrow might have been led to consider, completely no abuse had ever taken place,” it added.
“While this shoddy hit piece may gain attention, it does not change the facts,” it concluded.
The collection explores the sexual abuse allegations positioned towards Allen by his and ex-partner Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter Dylan Farrow.
The primary episode, which was aired on Sunday on HBO, confirmed Dylan and Mia talking in regards to the allegations made towards Allen.
