South Africa-bound Pakistan women’s team clear pre-departure COVID-19 testing

KARACHI: All 24 squad members — 17 gamers and 7 officers — of the ladies’s nationwide cricket group for the South Africa tour have cleared  pre-departure COVID-19 testing.

The girls’s group will depart for Durban, South Africa, on Monday.

Javeria Khan is main   the group, who will play three One-Day Internationals and as many Twenty20 Internationals on the tour.

In a digital press convention earlier than the tour, Pakistan captain Javeria Khan stated that she may be very glad that the ladies’s worldwide cricket has been revived and the nationwide group goes to South Africa.

She stated “the series against South Africa is very important for us as it will be helpful in the World Cup Qualifying Round”.

Javeria stated that they’re well-prepared underneath the  supervision of the international coach.

Replying to a query, the captain stated that the 17-member squad is sufficient for the three ODIs and three T20Is. “There is no need of a big squad for the short tour,” she stated.

Javeria stated that there isn’t any further strain of captaincy on her aside from the accountability that comes with the function.

She stated that Bismah Maroof can be missed as there isn’t any substitute for a senior participant.

Javeria stated there have to be a girls’s cricket league and I’m positive the PCB is engaged on it.
