Shakira opens up about new 'Girl Like Me' video

Shakira has talked about her and the Black Eyed Peas’ new ‘Girl Like Me’ video, which has been speak of the city since its launch.

Undoubtedly, Shakira’s   dance has sparked a problem on TikTook, with 1000’s of customers making an attempt to mimic the Colombian’s killer strikes. The four-minute music video dropped on Friday. To date, the clip has racked up almost 50 million views.

Speaking with Billboard, Shakira revealed it was  concerning the ’80s inspiration.

The singer was quoted as saying:’The tune already has that classic high quality to it, so I needed a video that had the retro futuristic vibe. From the start I believed: Jane Fonda. Those ’80s exercise movies had a very cool aesthetic I needed to import into this video.’ 

Highlighting the  further exercise about skateboarding or surf skating, she mentioned:  ‘It is a reasonably new factor that I’m completely obsessed with and one thing I do a few instances every week.’ 

She continued:  ‘Some of the takes on this video have been at 3, 4 within the morning and I used to be skating for like two hours so they might seize the very best photographs. I skated and skated and skated, till I didn’t really feel my joints.’

Shakira additionally took to TikTook to point out her 10 million-plus followers on the platform a step-by-step. The music lovers tried to seize the strikes and discern the influences behind them and that red-and-black outfit.
