Punjab on Thursday imposed curbs, together with a ban on burning crops and barring autos from the street that emit seen smoke and pollution, in its try to enhance the worsening Air Quality Index of the province.
According to a notification launched by the provincial authorities, there’s recorded proof of persistent deterioration within the Air Quality Index in Punjab.

The following actions have been banned by the Punjab authorities to arrest and include smog within the province:
i. Burning of any kind of crop residue
ii. Vehicles emitting seen smoke and pollution falling into inadmissible limits
iii. All industries working with out emission management system and contributing to a deterioration within the Air Quality Index
iv. All stone crushers working with out moist scrubbers
v. Burning of all sorts of stable waste, tires, rubber, and plastics
vi. Sale and use of all sorts of sub-standard fuels
vii. All sorts of encroachments which trigger hindrance within the easy move of visitors on public roads together with footpaths
viii. Any type of parking which can trigger hindrance within the easy move of visitors
ix. All sorts of actions with out correct safeguard which contribute in producing fugitive mud
x. Uncovered and open dumping/storage of development materials
xi. Uncovered transportation of development and different materials like sand, mud, and cement
xii, Any unauthorised exercise which can contribute to the formation of smog
xiii. For brick kilns:
a. All brick kilns constructed on previous methodology shall not be allowed to function w.e.f. 7 November 2020 to 31″ December 2020
b. All brick kilns constructed on zigzag methodology shall be allowed to function as per SOPs devised by the Environment Protection Department, the federal government of Punjab
c. All brick kilns must be transformed to the zigzag methodology by 31 December 2020
d. No brick kiln constructed on methodology apart from zigzag methodology shall be allowed to function after 31 December 2020
