Prince William and Kate Middleton have been reportedly left with “mixed feelings” and “slight terror” when left to indicate off their first born son on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital.
The Duchess herself admitted to going through these fears throughout her look on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast with host Giovanna Fletcher. There she was quoted telling the host, “Yeah, it was barely terrifying. I’m not going to lie. It’s arduous to compartmentalise the entire thing.”
“Because you realize, everybody had been so supportive. William and I have been actually aware that this was one thing that everybody was enthusiastic about. And we have been massively grateful for all of the assist that the general public had proven us. And really for us to have the ability to share that pleasure and appreciation with the general public, I felt that was actually vital.”
She added, “But equally, it was coupled with a newborn baby and inexperienced parents, and the uncertainty about what that held. There were a lot of mixed emotions.”
The tone of phrase and candid demeanor of the Duchess left even her host shocked.
