Prince Philip was by no means popular with royal courtiers or employees members to start with and it was all because of his ‘ill-tempered’ perspective. Many even doubted his ‘potential’ to face by the Queen’s aspect at one level.
Royal historian Dr Kate Williams shed some gentle on the Prince’s perceived temperament and was quoted telling Express UK, “The courtiers, the family, the Royal Family, even Government, there was a sense that he simply wasn’t the suitable character for the job. It was mentioned he was ill-tempered, that he was tough and he was not inclined to be trustworthy.”
Mr Williams believes the primary cause courtiers had such a destructive view in regards to the prince was merely due to his impartial character. “Really, I think a lot of the criticism of Philip was because the knew the couldn’t tell him what to do. That he was such an independent man.”
