MUZAFFARABAD: Police arrested a number of lecturers in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s capital Muzaffarabad on Wednesday as they took to the streets, demanding the authorities involved to improve their job ranks.
Hordes of lecturers, who have been reportedly headed in the direction of a secretariat constructing, have been interrupted by the capital’s police.
The police resorted to baton fees and tear fuel to disperse the protesting lecturers, on account of which a number of of them have been injured, whereas 20 have been arrested.
As the protesters reacted to the police’s interruption by pelting stones on the regulation enforcement company, three personnel have been left wounded.
The lecturers requested the AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider and secretary finance to fulfill their calls for. “We will not disperse until our demands are met,” they vowed.
