Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev has expressed an curiosity in getting their COVID-19 vaccine registered in Pakistan, Geo News reported Tuesday citing sources. 

The Russian official, in a letter written to Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan, has sought particulars about getting the COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V registered in Pakistan.

In the letter, Dmitriev stated that Sputnik V is likely one of the first registered vaccines on this planet which has been “certified for emergency use.”

The Russian official reportedly stated that the vaccine is 91.4% efficient towards the virus, including that it will be out there for public use in February 2021.

He stated that the vaccine’s value had fallen down from $22 to $10 per dose, including that the vaccine was less expensive as in comparison with others.

The Sputnik V vaccine could be saved at -2 levels Celcius to -8, he wrote within the letter, per sources, including that “Sputnik V is easier to store than other vaccines.”

In November, the Sputnik V proved to be 92% efficient in stopping coronavirus throughout interim trial outcomes, the nation’s sovereign wealth fund had stated.
