BTS has formally been granted the choice of suspending their obligatory navy enlistment as a result of newly handed invoice in South Korea.
This information started circulating shortly after the protection committee for the Korean National Assembly authorized a revision to the Military Service act.
For the unversed, this act requires all able-bodied male residents, between the ages of 18-28, to finish a two-year obligatory navy enlistment.
In the previous, solely worldwide athletes and classical musicians have been granted any type of exceptions or deferrals for his or her obligatory enlistment necessities.
This revision was authorized again in September by Democratic Party member Jeon Yong-gi. According to Metro, he believes, “BTS members will be able to put off their enlistments until the age of 30 if this bill passes through a plenary session and a related enforcement decree is revised as well.”
